This German Shepherd portrait features Boscoe, the beloved housemate of Bori, a cat rescued by my best friend over 10 years ago. Boscoe is fiercely loyal, protective, and full of expression—traits I aimed to capture through rich layers of colored pencil detail. The original drawing was a gift to my best friend for her birthday and graduation from veterinary school, marking a milestone not only in her life but in our friendship of over a decade. Boscoe and Bori now “live” together in her veterinary office as framed reminders of love, resilience, and deep companionship.

I decided to offer prints of these portraits (Boscoe and Bori) because I want to share that kind of love with others—love that stays with you, celebrates you, and reminds you of how much joy our animals bring.
