Punch — Monkey Art Print | Emotional Wildlife Portrait

SOMETIMES COMFORT COMES FROM THE MOST UNEXPECTED PLACE. 🐒🧡

If Punch's story touched your heart, this piece was created to hold onto a little part of it.

Punch is a professional art print reproduced from my original 9 × 12 colored-pencil artwork, inspired by the young Japanese macaque who captured hearts around the world alongside his stuffed orangutan companion.

After Punch's mother did not care for him shortly after birth, he was hand-raised by keepers at Ichikawa City Zoo. His stuffed orangutan became a source of comfort as he grew and was gradually introduced to life around the other macaques.

Of all the moments from his story, I chose to capture one of the quietest:

Punch feeling safe enough to sleep.

HOLD ON TO WHAT BRINGS YOU COMFORT.

There's something incredibly moving about seeing such a tiny animal wrapped around something that makes him feel secure.

In my artwork, Punch sleeps peacefully against the bright orange fur of his stuffed companion—his tiny hands resting against it while he's completely tucked into its embrace.

To me, the piece became about more than one little monkey.

It's about comfort. Vulnerability. Resilience. Connection.

And the simple need to have something—or someone—to hold onto when the world feels unfamiliar.

PROFESSIONALLY PRINTED FROM MY ORIGINAL ARTWORK

This listing is for a professional paper art print reproduced from my original hand-drawn colored-pencil artwork.

The print preserves the contrast and detail that were so important to the original piece: Punch's delicate face and fine fur against the long, vibrant orange fibers of his stuffed companion.
